What is the under door profile?
Can the doors fully retract into the pocket?
When should i paint the wooden finishing kit?
What about disabled access?
Can the frame be installed at any surface/level?
WHAT IS THE UNDER DOOR PROFILE?
This is an extruded aluminium guide that fits into a routed channel at the bottom of your disappearing door that gives an improved sliding action, increased wear resistance and protection against deformation due to humidity. We supply this with all our standard frames included in the kit.
CAN THE DOORS FULLY RETRACT INTO THE POCKET?
We recommend that when using recessed door furniture the door is adjusted to ensure the furniture is outside the pocket when fully opened. This is because of the risk of trapping fingers should the recessed furniture retract fully into the pocket.
Should you decide to adjust the door to retract fully into the pocket, you do so at your own risk and responsibility. We will not be held liable should and injury occur through not following our recommendations.
WHEN SHOULD I PAINT THE WOODEN FINISHING KIT?
We suggest you do this before you install them to avoid geting paint on the brushes etc.
WHAT ABOUT DISABLED ACCESS?
We have frames with final openings of 800, 813, 900 and 1000mm so these accommodate many disabled requirements. Also sliding doors are much easier to operate than hinged doors.
CAN THE FRAME BE INSTALLED ON ANY SURFACE/LEVEL?
No, it is essential that the disappearing door frame is installed ONLY at finished floor level. If the floor is not finished we recommend that the frame is raised on plywood or similar to account for the finishing. |
